Dentures are removable replacements for missing teeth and the surrounding tissue. The design and materials vary considerably depending on how many teeth are missing, the condition of the ridge underneath and what you need the denture to do day to day.
Our commitment is to create a denture that not only looks good and fits comfortably, but functions well for many years — which means the follow-up appointments matter as much as the fitting.
A full upper or lower denture, made after the gums have healed following extraction so the fit reflects the settled ridge.
Made in advance and inserted straight after extraction, so you are never without teeth. They usually need relining as healing changes the shape underneath.
Fitted over retained natural roots or implants, which helps preserve bone and improves stability compared with a conventional full denture.
Secured to dental implants for genuine stability — no adhesives, no movement while eating, and far more confidence when speaking.
For when strong natural teeth remain. Clasps or precision attachments on the adjacent teeth provide retention and stability, filling gaps and stabilising the bite.
Gums and bone change shape over time. A reline refits the base of an existing denture to the current ridge, restoring comfort and suction.
There is an adjustment period with any new denture, and knowing what is normal makes it much easier. Expect a temporary increase in saliva production, a few days of feeling like there is too much in your mouth, and some practice needed with speech.
Eating takes a little retraining too: start with soft foods cut small, chew on both sides at once to keep the denture stable, and build up gradually. Most people are eating normally far sooner than they expect.
Come back for your follow-up appointments. Small adjustments in the first few weeks are completely routine and make the difference between a denture you tolerate and one you forget you are wearing.
