Built to last

Titanium implants are the recognised standard for tooth replacement, with high long-term stability and success rates when properly placed and maintained.

Anatomy

The three parts of your new tooth

An implant replaces the root as well as the visible tooth — which is what preserves the jawbone underneath.

01

The post

A biocompatible titanium screw placed into the jawbone, acting as your new tooth root.

02

The abutment

A custom connector that secures the visible restoration to the post below the gumline.

03

The restoration

A hand-crafted porcelain crown, bridge or denture that looks and functions like the tooth it replaces.

The process

Your implant, step by step

Five stages, all managed by the same team in the same two offices.

01

3D digital consultation

A CBCT scan — a 3D X-ray — lets Dr. Le see your jawbone, nerve pathways and sinus cavities with sub-millimetre precision, and plan the placement virtually before anything is done.

02

Site preparation, if needed

If a tooth has been missing a long time the bone may be thin. A bone graft or sinus lift rebuilds the area so the implant has a solid foundation.

03

Surgical placement

A custom-printed surgical guide acts as a GPS, ensuring the implant sits at the planned depth and angle. Several levels of sedation are available so you stay relaxed throughout.

04

Osseointegration

Over the next three to six months your jawbone naturally fuses with the titanium post. This process is what makes the implant a permanent part of your body.

05

The final reveal

We attach the custom abutment and your final porcelain crown, check the bite, polish the restoration and send you off to eat something you have been missing.

Candidacy

Am I a candidate for dental implants?

Most patients are. Success rests on three foundations we check at your consultation.

Systemic wellness

Placement is a minor surgical procedure, so your body needs to be in reasonable overall health. We review your medical history to make sure your natural healing response is up to it.

A smoke-free healing path

Tobacco use significantly restricts blood flow to the gums and slows osseointegration — the bone fusing to the implant. If you have been looking for a reason to stop, this is a good one.

A strong foundation

There must be sufficient bone volume to support the post. CBCT imaging measures your jawbone density precisely, and grafting can rebuild the site where it is lacking.

Investment

Cost, insurance and value over time

Implants are a significant financial commitment, and we would rather discuss that openly. Over a twenty-year horizon they are frequently the most cost-effective choice, because they do not need replacing on the cycle that other options do.

The price of your treatment depends on the number of implants, whether bone grafting is required and the type of sedation chosen. In North Texas, the surgical placement of a single dental implant generally falls between $1,500 and $2,000. You receive a detailed written breakdown before we begin — no hidden fees.

We work with most major insurance providers and offer flexible monthly financing through Cherry and CareCredit. New patients currently receive $1,000 off implants and dentures.

Questions

Dental implant FAQs

How long does the whole process take?

The healing phase is the longest part. Osseointegration typically takes three to six months, and site preparation such as a bone graft adds time before that. The surgical appointment itself is usually a single visit.

Is implant placement painful?

The procedure is performed under local anaesthetic, with several sedation options available if you would prefer them. Most patients describe the recovery as far easier than they had feared.

Will my insurance cover it?

Coverage varies a great deal between plans. We work with most major providers and our team will check your specific benefits and tell you what they will and will not pay before you commit.
